Film Nights

Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.  £5 per ticket.  Refreshments available.

 

Saturday 4th October:  'The Penguin Lessons' staring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Price.  Based on a true story set during the 1976 coup in Argentina, an English teacher rescues a penguin and bring it to this school.  His life begins to change when the bird's presence starts to have a positive effect on the school.

Saturday 1st November:  'Maria' staring Angelina Jolie as the legendary opera singer Maria Callas.  Set during the singer's final days in 1970's Paris and based on 'true accounts' of Callas' life - one filled with music passion and tragedy.

Saturday 6th December - 'Mr Burton' based on a true story of how the son of a miner became one of the world's greatest actors, Richard Burton, with the help of an unlikely mentor.  Starring Toby Jones, Lesley Manville and Harry Lawtey.
