Facilities at the Playing Field and Pavilion include;

A Function room upstairs, downstairs toilets, changing rooms with showers, car park area, Scouts hall, Football and Bowls clubs.

The Function room is available to hire and joint bookings can be made with the Football club for use of the Football club Bar and Kitchen. There are 60 chairs and 10 folding tables available in the function room. 

 If you require use of the bar and/or kitchen area, please ask the booking officer regarding current fees when making enquiries.

Enquiries welcome for longer sessions or alternative combinations. Rates can be negotiated based on use required.

The Bowls club, Football Club and Scouts have their own areas. Both the Scouts and Football club hire out their areas. The Scouts also have a set of fold away chairs and trestle tables they hire out.

The Playing Field itself is open to visitors all year round. There is a path and street lights along two side of the field with three access points.

Facilities include a hard court area currently with combination goals at each end, a separate multilane Skate ramp and a smaller half pipe and a play area with modern equipment installed in 2012 which includes a zip wire, basket swing, swings, slide and multi activity units to cover a wide age range, also a springy, climbing frame and picnic benches. An upgrade in 2023 with inclusive roundabout, noughts & crosses game amongst other improvements.

 

Playing Field equipment was kindly supported by a substantial grant from Viridor Credits .

The Trustee of the charity is the Parish Council of Haughley.

The Trustee has delegated power to a user Committee via an order from The Charity Commissioners for England and Wales dated 12th September 2000.

The committee consists of the following persons:

3 members co-opted by resolution of the trustee

1 nominated member from each of the following bodies:

Haughley Crawford’s V C P School

Haughley Playing Field Bowls club

Haughley United Football Club

1st Wetherden and Haughley Scouts/Haughley Guides
