Village Hall

(Please note change of date due to the Government's delay in lifting restrictions)

Haughley Village Hall will be trialling its first ever Community Café on Saturday 14th August.

As well as the Café it is hoped to have a few stalls selling local produce and crafts. We already have some interest but are looking for others.

Do you grow fruit and vegetables and always have a surplus you could sell?

Have you found a talent over lockdown for creating something which people would buy ?

The community facility in the heart of the village - ideal for events, meetings, parties and conferences.

Extensive refurbishment has been carried out over the past 10 years.  MDSC provided a substantal capital grant for the repair of the roof in 2018 and have provided financial support to offset the loss of operating income during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A charming period building, opened in 1907, Haughley Village Hall serves the diverse needs of the village perfectly from its central location.  The facility boasts a splendid stripped sprung floor – ideal for dancing and athletic activities – a fully equipped kitchen, toilet facilities and can take a capacity of 100 in the main hall.  A smaller function room is also available, and a third room – the Green Room – has recently been renovated and brought into use.

Haughley is an active, vibrant community – as evidenced by the list of regular users of the hall, including the Pre-School, HATS, Yoga, Tai Chi, Cara Lea Disco Dancing, Haughley Hoofers, The Women’s Institute.

Nevertheless, there are spaces in the diary available for booking for private parties and events.
