BOWLS CLUB APPEAL

As you may be aware our Bowls Club was broken into and most of our green equipment was stolen and this has obviously caused a major problem for the Club. We hope our insurance will cover most of the cost of buying replacements but we will have to replace the sheds where our equipment was stored with either a brick building or vandal proof metal cabin plus a top of the range security alarm system. We do not have enough funds to complete either of these options as all our games have been cancelled for the season due to the coronavirus restrictions. In order to raise much needed funds one of our members who has just been given the all clear from cancer is proposing to walk 10,000 steps each day for a week and is looking for sponsors. His name is Jack Hawkins and he can be contacted on Facebook via relative LIAM HAWKINS.

We are asking the people of Haughley to help us by either sponsoring Jack or a donation to the Club. This can be done with a cheque made payable to Haughley PF Bowls Club and sent to the Treasurer, details can be found HERE..

We have been a thriving Club for well over 100 years and we are now facing an uphill task to remain so.
